I've been tagged.

Melissa at New Girl on Post tagged me for a survey, so here it is: (and because I don't have six people who actually read my blog that would do this, I'm not going to embarrass myself by trying to suggest others to do it as well. So, I'll be a little bit of a rule breaker)

Here are the rules:
1. Link to the person who tagged you
2. Post the rules to your blog
3. Write 6 random things about yourself
4. Tag 6 people at the end of your post and link to them
5. Let each person you have tagged know by leaving a comment on their blog.
6. Let the tagger know when your entry is posted

1. Since I learned to type in 6th grade (and became really, really good at it) I have a very strange habit of typing out sentences in my head when talking to or listening to someone. For example, if my hubby said, “Hey babe, let’s go out to dinner.” I will start picturing my hands typing out the words in my head. Very, very strange, I know.

2. I cannot stand the sound of people brushing their teeth. I’m not bothered by nails against chalkboards or forks against plates, or the normal screeching sounds that make most cringe. No, I hate, hate, hate the sound of teeth brushing. I actual have to cover my ears and look away if someone is brushing their teeth on television or in real life. I have to leave the room if Gorilla is brushing his teeth.

3. The only B I have ever made in my life was in an art class in college. We had to make paper-maché animals and color wheels. I kicked ass at all of my projects. However, the professor was on tenure, and had terrible allergies to any kinds of perfumes and deodorants and requested that we didn't wear any when attending class. He also didn’t like people who didn’t show up for his suggested bible studies on Wednesdays. I refused to come to class without deodorant and obviously didn’t make any appearances at his bible studies. Hence the B. I cried when I got my grades in the mail. My parents, shocked, made some comment like, “Wow, you got a B in art class??!!”

I know I’m no creative genius, but I’m not the only one who did a damn good job that got the same unfair treatment throughout his many years of teaching. Despite his horrible end of the year evaluations, he still teaches there now.

By the way, I made an awesome paper-maché pig that I named Jimmy Dean. I gave it to my dad as a Christmas present and it sits on a prominent shelf in his garage so that everyone sees it as soon as they come in.

4. I lived in Germany for 6 years and Italy for 2. I absolutely love Europe and cannot wait for a chance to go back.

5. In college, my two brunette friends and I decided it would be a great idea to dye our hair blonde. My hair turned out pumpkin colored. It was absolutely atrocious. Unfortunately we did it late at night and I had to go to all of my classes with my hair like that the next day. (luckily a baseball cap hid most of it) It cost $120 and a trip to a salon to have my locks returned to my normal brunette color. I will never, ever try that again. (and Gorilla waited until after this incident to tell me that he is not attracted to blondes. So lucky me I’ll never have to try it again)

6. I cannot stand it when the toilet paper roll is not put on the correct way. And there is only one correct way- paper going over, not under. I’ve blogged about this before, but it’s truly one of my pet peeves. I've been known to change the roll at friend's houses when it’s not the right way.
