I finally have a chance to answer Melissa's Friday Fun Questions: (seeing as I'm once again all by my lonesome on Friday night. I know, I know. Boo hoo, poor me. I still haven't forgotten what it was like when the hubby was deployed. But it's all relative)
1. Three websites you frequent the most?
-mail.yahoo.com
-blogger.com
-travelocity.com (always looking for new places to vacation)
2. What's one thing you really want for Christmas?
I have everything I could possibly want. And bonus, my parents are taking us to Hawaii. I can't ask for anything more. (seriously, I want for nothing in life right now. Unless someone could give me a winning lottery ticket)
3. Any shows this season you are already addicted to?
I'm not a big TV watcher. I usually just have it on for background noise. But I'm excited about the new season of The Office, Grey's Anatomy, and How I Met Your Mother. I DVR them all and watch them as soon as I get home from work the next day.
4. Are there any foods that you were hesitant about trying, but then did and loved them?
I am a very, very picky eater. I usually won't try anything new. However, a woman I worked with once talked me into trying ox tail. It tasted like roast beef and was pretty good. However it's a rare occasion that I love anything new that I try. I usually know what I like and stick to it. The hubby and his family have gotten me to actually try and actually enjoy some Chinese and Thai food though. (I'm no longer a shame to his family now because I used to eat nothing at the usual family gatherings that always occur at Chinese or Thai restaurants. They used to "tsk tsk" and look so embarrassed when I, the picky white girl would scoff her nose at simple things like fried rice and satay. Those are the only things I'll eat there now)
The extent of my picky eating is really sad though. His aunts and cousins will call me months ahead of time to plan meals and grocery shopping around foods that they know I'll eat. I feel really guilty about it and tell them to fix whatever they usually would, but I know they try to make "normal" meals for me.
5. What room in your house is your favorite and why?
I love the way our guest room turned out. I think it's the best room in our house, but I'm sad that it's not our master bedroom. I love the color, the pictures on the wall, and the subtle white accents. (if I get a chance I'll post pictures later) I'm sad that it hardly gets used. Sometimes I'll walk back there just to look at it and revel in the fact that it's the only room in the house that stays clean.

1 thought(s) about it:
Hello,
Loquita mentioned your blog to me and I thought I'd stop by! I am the girlfriend of a Marine who is currently deployed and, as I have no military connections out here in SoCal, love reading the adventures of military wives and girlfriends to feel a little more in the loop! =) I look forward to reading more of your posts!
