Still hope.

Thanks for all your words of encouragement about the GRE. It especially helped reading this post from Nomad Librarian this morning. It's exactly why I want to be a librarian. The best part of being a teacher was interacting with the children. I miss seeing their faces light up and the understanding and excitement in their eyes.

So, I will keep on studying. No matter how freaking frustrating it is to review math terms that I haven't seen in ages.

I have to put the studying on hold for today though because our good friends are coming to hang out with us for the weekend. I'm glad that they are easily entertained, because it's going to be a huge culture shock for the wife to go from the DC area to here. At least we have the beach. (that's the mantra I always have to tell myself when I start getting bummed about living here. At least we have the beach. At least we have the beach. At least we have the beach.) It will be good for her to see what she has to look forward to after he finishes pilot training. They could end up here, or worse- Cherry Point. Hey, there's a new mantra: At least we're not at Cherry Point. At least we're not at Cherry Point.

So my goal for today is to finish cleaning the house. When I've got the music blaring and I'm in a groove I start getting crazy. I decided that 8:00 at night was a great time to clean out my entire fridge last night. I even wiped down the front of my house with Clorox wipes. It doesn't make any damn sense, but it made me feel better. Today I may vacuum all the base boards.

Truth is, I'm really just putting off studying.

Yay for some motivation to keep going. You can do it!

Hopefully after a nice weekend with your friends you will start next week off with a new attitude. :)
