Land of the???

I'm super excited that it's Olympics time.

Friday night Gorilla and I spent the evening watching the opening ceremony and all I can say is "Wow!" The Chinese definitely set the bar. The Brits have a lot to live up to in 2012. I can't wait to see how they beat that.

I love that we are completely content on sitting around and watching the best of the U.S. represent and compete. And he even likes watching my favorites: swimming, gymnastics, and diving.

Did anyone see the first gold given to Michael Phelps? Was anyone a little bewildered/dumbfounded/insulted when they cut the national anthem short? I didn't know what to think. I was, in my usual style, singing along.... and then realized I was singing by myself to "f-r-e-e and the h-o-m-e of the b-r-a-v-e." Yup, they left that part out.

I love the summer Olympics. And I love that I have DVR now!
