Snow Day!

I just got an automated phone call saying that all schools are closed tomorrow due to a possible 2 inch snow "storm." Ha!

I'm not going to complain that I get yet ANOTHER day off work, but I find it a little ridiculous that they're already closing the schools and nothing has even happened. It's not even very cold outside right now. There's no snow yet. Shouldn't they wait until we see some of these supposed white flurries?

If there is snow tomorrow I can guarantee you I won't go anywhere on the road. These people are already crazy enough driving in normal conditions. I can't imagine what it will be like if there's snow involved. (says the lady who just caused a car wreck only a week ago)

So here's hoping there is no snow tomorrow because they've already closed the schools!

This happened to me when I was in high school. In Alabama snow is a BIG deal. The weather that we were going to get a snow storm, so the city rented snow plows from Tennessee, bought lots of salt, cancelled school. And it didn't snow at all. But we still got the day off, which was nice!

Dude, seriously, this is hilarious. Where I grew up it had to snow at least 8-12 inches before we could even *hope* for a 2 hour delay. I think school was canceled 4 or 5 times in my 13 years of school in that school district. Oh well - I'm happy you got a nice day off! :-D

2 inches is a storm? wow. I think of 8 or more as being a mild storm and a foot as being a pain in my ass.

but two? I dont even bother shoveling I just drive thru!

I haven't even seen snow this winter. Guess I'm used to it. I was reading your how-we-met story and I totally know where you went to college. I'm from Abilene - know where that is? Aw how I miss TX! Anyway, I'm glad you found my blog. Be sure to visit again soon. :)
