Just wondering.

I just returned from an excruciating spin class on base. I love going to these classes, but because I haven't been since LAST YEAR I know I'm going to be paying for it tomorrow, especially considering that the instructor had us pause mid-class to do a torturous amount of squats.

The only thing that made me feel a little better during the class (because there were some points when I admit I was struggling!) was that the loudest groans and moans always seem to come from the men in the group! In fact, after the above mentioned squat session, 20 minutes before the class was even over, two male Marines left saying they felt too wobbly to go on! Why is it that Marines can run and run and run and walk miles and miles with packs on their backs, but can't seem to handle some simple cardio classes? This has always been the case when I go to spin class. The complaints and screams of agony are ALWAYS from the men in the group! I don't get it.

Of course, put me in a line up of Marines with cammies and a 130 pound pack on my back and ask me to walk 15 miles and I can assure you I would be screaming in agony. So I'm definitely not judging. Just posing a question.

In other updates, I'm still waiting on news about my car. They still haven't finished the estimate. I don't know if this is good new or bad. So I will still just have to hurry up and wait. The only thing that sucks is that I can only get a temporary base pass for my rental car for a week at a time. Which means that I must go every week to get a new one. This wouldn't be such a pain if I didn't work on base and require the pass to get to my job. Not to mention that I don't work on mainside, just at a school in one of the housing developments. And of course the only place I can get the pass is at the main gate. Ugh.

I'm going to finish watching the Office and then snuggle up with my doggies in bed. It's supposed to get c-o-l-d tonight...

I kind of love that it's the dudes who can't hack it in spin class. teehee!

Getting a gate pass suuuuucks, I hope they figure out what the heck is going on with your car soon.

Hehehe I don't know why that is either but I feel with you about the gate pass. We have to get one EVERY DAY until we are married. Some of the guards call me by my first name already LOL
