Sleep on, dream on.

I am pathetic.

Now even a monster.com commercial makes me weepy.

Not because I'm filled with remorse about quitting my job, or worried about my job future, or contemplating what the hell I'm going to do post-dream job.

No, it's because they are playing a Chemical Brothers song that makes me think of and miss Gorilla terribly. A song that we discovered just after he gave me my first ipod, just days before he proposed in Hawaii. It makes me think of riding the bus to Waikiki after getting plate lunches in Kailua, watching the beautiful scenery, sharing headphones, and reveling in the beauty that is good music.

I can't wait to have moments like that again with him. We have Friday night rituals that some might think strange. Rituals that I can't wait to re-instate. Sitting on the couch, laptop fired up, browsing new songs, listening to good old ones, and sharing our love for music. This is usually accompanied by beer, lots of snuggling, and dog petting. Sometimes we are reflecting on the sounds of new and interesting music, sometimes we are laughing at what passes as music, sometimes we are sharing memories of songs that make us think of many happy times. But mostly we are enjoying each other, loving each other in person.

So thanks damn monster.com commercial. I don't want to post my resume, but I do want to listen to that groovy Chemical Brothers song that is sadly ONLY on Gorilla's laptop. Damn.
Moments like this also bum me out because I have no one to say, "Hey, do you hear the song in that commercial?" Only Gorilla would know what I'm talking about, or why it means anything.

Only XX more days until he's finally home...
