It's the little things.

I love Spouse Buzz because I not only do I relate to all the topics and fellow military spouses, but there is always a wealth of info on there.

I had no idea that I would make a friend's day today by checking out the site.

It makes my heart swell a little when businesses make an effort to recognize and support our military. It's easy to get discouraged from all the negative talk, so it's great when you realize that yes, most of America does support our troops and their families.

When I saw this post I knew that I had to tell my friend Slush about it. She, like many of our military wives, is going through a wonderful life-changing event without her husband. Her daughter will be four months old when she gets to meet her dad. And even though we know it happens all the time, to many women, it still hurts to know it happens. I have so much respect for the courage and strength that these women, like my friends Slush and Carolyn have. I can't even formulate words to describe the admiration I have for these strong women, and the fathers who must "watch" their children grow up via emails, videos, and phone calls. I cannot fathom what it must be like to not hold your newborn child.

My husbsand's high school friends are also experiencing this. Ironic that Loquita made a comment about her recently. She just gave birth to a beautiful baby girl and he's not home to hold her.

Please excuse my lack of eloquence in this post. I'm not an author. I know how I feel in my heart about this, but I'd never have the right words.

I've just gone in circles with this post. My point was to thank Spouse Buzz for the link today, and buildasign.com for their generosity and support. Now Slush's baby girl will have her very own sign for her daddy when he finally comes home.

And thank you Slush and Carolyn for your courage, strength, and sacrifice. I admire you more than you'll ever know.
