Lately the hubster and I have been teasing each other about how old we're getting. The signs are obvious. Things like:
-we get up at ungodly hours of the morning, even on weekends. Now 8:00 is sleeping in.
-if I have a really good workout session, I find it really, really hard to get out of bed in the morning. (and not to wake up, just to physically get my body up!)
-when we actually make it out to a bar with friends, we are done drinking after 3 beers and yawning by 10:00. Losers.
-When friends call to ask us to go somewhere or to attend a party or such, the first question they ask is, "Do you have housework planned this weekend?" The answer is usually yes.
-I get excited about the amount of money I deposit into our savings account.
-I'd rather scrub the house to gleaming perfection than go downtown or have drinks at a bar.
The flashing neon sign that says "Wow, you're getting OLD!" came yesterday when I walked around the house with a giant smile and pep in my step because we finally committed to getting our bathrooms tiled. Yes folks, the highlight of my MONTH is going to be bathroom renovations.
I must stop blogging right now because I'm off to pick out tile samples. Oh the joys of adulthood.

I can;t believe this is your blog! This is Toni Rowley, from Camp Lejeune. Maddie is doing great! She is saying clear words and sometimes phases when she is prompted she is "talking" more. In her own way she has meet yes met all of the preschool standards :) She knows ALL of her ABC's numbers 1-10...and sometimes up to 20! She signs as she talks. Her friends are also signing a few words. Next year she is off to kindergarten still at TT1.
I miss seeing you! And SOO glad I came across your blog :) Toni
Toni- crazy that you found me!
I'm glad to hear about Maddie. I think about her a lot, and I know that it's thanks to you that she's progressed as much as she has.
How's life in NC? We don't miss it at all b/c we're so in love with Hawaii!
NC is good. I like it here. So good to hear you like Hawaii! My husband will be back next month from this deployment! YEAH!!! Other than that lots of IEP meetings at school, and progress code writing, BUT only 5 more days for students! CRAZY!
ps- My friends here think my husband and I are like 75 years because of the things we like to do, and how we act! I liked this post.
