Today's the day.

I'm glad to report that my hubby will finally be home today.

These past two weeks have been worse than any other separation we've ever had. All due to the fact that I haven't spoken to him ONCE. I've been so spoiled before. We've always had phone calls and emails. But this time, I've only gotten an occasional one-liner and a whopping zero phone calls.

He promises it won't be that way when he's on the ship for good. I'm hoping. Because if it is, it's going to be a very long seven months.

I tease him because he's a communications guy. How is it that the communications officer can't find a way to communicate with his wife?

But no matter- I get to finally see him today! I miss that stinker so much when he's gone.

I'm glad he's back so you can finally talk. I have to say I don't think it matter what your job is - the communication while they're on ship just sucks. I hated our MEU deployment, but since it was our first one, I didn't realize that things could potentially be better than they were. I hope w/ your hubby on Comm that he'll be better than LT at figuring out ways to stay in touch. But it doesn't surprise me that he wasn't in touch much during the training stuff -- the are so damn busy during the workups, it's craziness.
